On-site “mini sewerage treatment plants”
AWTS are designed to treat all of your household black water (sewerage from toilets) and the greywater (from kitchen sinks, hand basins, laundry, washing machines, dishwashers, showers, and baths), to a high environmental secondary standard so that the treated water can be used for irrigation on your property.
This is achieved through multiple processes each within it’s own chamber all housed within one tank. As seen in this diagram supplied by WaterNSW.
This secondary treatment standard is a higher standard than traditional septic tanks and composting toilets which are only primary wastewater treatment methods.

AWTS – Servicing & Maintenance
Ensuring your AWTS remains comliant with local council regulations, we will schedule a visit every 3 months to service and maintain your system keeping it working as it should.
